Left side: "The Eldqvarn built in 1804 by A. N. Edelcrantz, ravaged by fire in 1878." The mill was built in 1805 for Abraham Niclas Edelcrantz (pioneer in optical telegraphs) with a steam engine built by Samuel Owen. The mill continued to function even after the fire until 1906.
